Abstract

The arrangement is intended for drum brakes of the type wherein the brake shoe segment is provided with flanges, at one extremity of which a pressure roller is carried in semi-circular bearing shells, the brake being operated by an S-shaped cam acting on the roller. Between the flanges (2, 3) the shaft (8) of the roller (6) is secured by a U-shaped bracket (10) whose upward portions are located between the flanges and fixed thereto by a split pin or similar fastener (13). The pressure roller and the S-shaped cam are almost at either end of a diameter of the brake housing.
