Improvements to internal shoe drum brakes, of the type having a pair of radially guided brake shoes for displacement on a support member, and adjustable with a rotating drum, an applicator device disposed between a pair of contiguous ends of the shoes and adapted to separate said ends and effect the adjustment of the shoes with the drum, and a solid holding member with said support element associated with the other pair of contiguous ends of the segments, elastic means that impel said ends against said holding, characterized in that said application device comprises a hydraulic wheel cylinder that has a sliding piston in said cylinder and a one-way wear adjuster between the piston and the cylinder body, each shoe end of said first pair being coupled in arrangement respectively rotatable to said piston and to the bottom of said cylinder, arranging another application device between the shoe ends of said second pair.
