Abstract

A pulley (10) supports a cable (12) and rotates on spindle (14) carried on a support pylon. An attachment (16) connects with skiers and can be disconnected. It consists of a bush (18) which grips the cable and there is a swivel point (20) at right angles to the cable. On this is a lever (22), with movement limited by stops and under the influence of a tension spring (24) with an end piece (26). The pulley has a guide (28) which can engage with the lever (22). The guide is fitted to the pylon by struts (30), (32). On one part of the guide is a metal retaining plate (36) with an eye (38) fixed to the guide, a second plate (46) being attached towards the end of the guide.
