Abstract

The mechanism has a support frame (2) fixed to the vessel's deck (3). The frame carries a horizontal shaft (7) which supports the bracket (8). The hydraulic jacks (9, 12) are connected to the bracket and cause the movement of the arm (11) with the pulley (13) on the end. The towing cable passes over the pulley so that the towed body (6) may be brought up close to the pulley (13).
