Abstract

The terminal block consists fo a row identical clamping elements. Each element has a screw that pivots an angled clamping plate when screwed into the block. The clamping plate pivots up against the action of a return spring acting on its first plane and grips the wire end, inserted into a hole with serrations on the face of its second plane. The metal spring is in contact with a terminal tag that leads outside the block. The clamping plate may also be arranged to pivot down instead of up, and in this position allows the wire hole to extend right through the block.
