Abstract

The electrical connector consists of a cylindrical body in which the turnable clamping section is inserted. The clamping section incorporates a worm cam section and a cylindrical bearing section which fits into the corresponding inner surface of the body. The inner surface of the cylindrical body has groovings in axial direction near the clamping area. At the external end of the clamping body is a recess of hexagonal cross-section. The cross-section of the clamp body in the clamping area is not circular but spiral. The conductor to be clamped is inserted between the groovings and that part of the clamping area with the smallest radius.
