Abstract

The threaded connector for insulated cables - especially light telephone cables - includes a hollow box (1) of rectangular cross-section tapering from a wide end (8) to a narrow end (9). Two cables (2) lie parallel longitudinally in the box passing through the end faces (8, 9). At the wider end of the box (8) a screw with a sharp cutting thread and driving a slot (13) is inserted. This lies parallel to the cables. The threads cut through the insulation (4) to make an electrical connection between the wires (3).
