Abstract

The device has one fixed jaw (1) and one moving jaw (2) clamping the cable (3). The fixed jaw is fixed to a tubular body (4) and the moving one to a rod (5) sliding in the body. The seat suspension arm (6) swivels on the body with the usual friction bushes and washers. On the rod are spring washers (13) urging the jaw (2) against the washer. At the end the stack of spring washers is a tubular piece (17) held by a nut (15), which controls washer compression. The tubular piece has two circumferential grooves (18), (19) which allow the washers tobe compressed the correct amount. In the uncompressed state the groove (18) is aligned with the end of the body, the second groove (19) being aligned with the end of the correct compression.
