Abstract

A shelving or racking system uses clips for locking horizontal supports into the vertical uprights. Each upright (11), of square section, has a series of wedge shaped slots (14) in it. They have both sides (16, 17) bent in to form tabs (19, 20). The horizontal support (12, 12a) is welded (21, 21a) to L-section sleeves (22, 22a) fitting closely over the upright and having support tongues engaging in the slots. The clip (10) has a flat face (31) with its base turned in and down to form a tongue (34). Its top (30) is also bent in and has side arms (37, 38) and two bosses (35, 36) to give a snap action and hold firm in use.
