Abstract

Each of the electron guns forming the polygon configuration in the CRT, has a number of grid electrodes. The axes of the electron guns are mutually parallel. The axis of an electron lens nearest to the screen is not aligned with the axis of the respective electron gun. The grid electrodes may contain several combinations of electron lens distance, with specified offsetting in the electron lens system nearest to the luminescent screen. At least one grid electrode may be in a form of a hollow column, formed by combination of several grid electrodes of a number of electron guns at the same potential. The cathode and the hollow grid electrode may have a special support. The grid electrode openings for electron beam passage is provided in regions corresponding to cathodes of the polygonal configuration.
