Abstract

The headlamp assembly consists of two parabolic reflectors each fitted with its own bulb and bulb holder, one bulb provides the dipped light and one the beam. The parabolic reflector has plane surfaces on the upper and lower sides. The inner reflector which has a horizontal parabolic reflector has a flat base which sits in the lower plane surface of the large reflector, and is held in by a spring clip. The beam adjustment of the inner reflector is effected by means of a spring loaded screw fixed to the base of the reflectors. The bulb and bulb holder assembly is bayonetted into the fuse of its reflector in such a way that only one position is possible. The bulb holder is more accessable than when fitted to the rear of the reflector, and being on a flat plane is firmer than when fitted on a curve.
