Abstract

The system is for irrigation and plant protection, particularly in vineyards, and incorporates a housing connected at one end to the source of water under pressure and at the other to the sprinkler etc., and also with a connection for the supply under pressure of the protective chemical. An axial bore is divided in two by a transverse partition, one of the chambers formed being directly connected to the sprinkler. The other contains a cylinder with a piston and is extended by a third chamber and a section above it, and the third chamber in turn communicates via an orifice with a fourth chamber. A spring-loaded valve connected to the cylinder is held shut against the orifice edge. The fourth chamber is connected directly to the water supply. Third, second and first chambers are connected by holes, and the chemical arrives in the cylinder opposite the piston crown, in which there is a passage leading to its sidewall. When the piston is up, this passage opens into the cylinder, and when down into the third chamber at the same time as the valve is open.
