Abstract

The equalising system, so all wheels remain in contact with the ground, is hydraulic system. The axles are carried on swinging arms, each of which has a hydraulic shock absorber assembly of the double acting type. One end of the shock absorber is attached to the chassis. These shock absorbers are cross connected by a hydropneumatic system, giving the required equalising effect. Variations of the suspension arrangement are also covered and it can be applied to an even or odd number of axles.
