Abstract

The pneumatic pressure applied to the suspension for the drive wheels of the second wheel axle is proportional to the load transported by the vehicle up to a predetermined max. load. On exceeding this load, the two pneumatic suspensions of the second and third axles are subjected to different pneumatic pressures, so that the pressure in the suspension of the drive wheels is constant and is proportional to the max. load while the pressure in the suspension of the third wheel axle is adapted to be proportional to the load which exceeds the max. load. In this way the load on the drive wheels is controlled to ensure their max. effectiveness to power the vehicle.
