Abstract

The basic starch prod i.e the untreated glue is mixed with additives to give it desirable addition at properties e.g to render water proof. This is added in small quantities in such a way that between mixing and application, the glue does not lose its required properties (ie does not harden before application etc). Continuous recycling of excess glue from the transfer roller coating tank, back into the mixing vessel takes place and the addition of fresh glue and additives is regulated by level sensors.
