Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve keeping quality and to enhance the dynamic coloring sensitivity by providing a lower layer which contains foamable plastic filler and binder resin of polymer compound having a low softening point between a support and a thermosensitive coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:Foamable plastic filler and 1-3pts.wt. of polymer compound having lower softening point than that of the wall material of this filler (to 1pts.wt. of the filler) are dispersed in water to prepare foaming layer coating solution, a support, such as paper, plastic film, etc., is coated with the solution to be heated to be foamed to form a lower layer. Then, a thermosensitive coloring layer which contains as main ingredients leuco dye and developer is laminated on the lower layer to form a thermosensitive recording material. The binder can be selected from known aqueous polymer and aqueous polymer emulsion.
