Abstract

Designed for use with open end or break spinning processes, the final roller (operating at a higher speed than preceding rollers) is fitted with spiral slits to develop proud ridges. The roller is longer than its complementary clamping roller to allow use with a variety of spinning equipment, and the slits are also longer than the clamping roller width to ensure even fibre distribution.
