Abstract
1342897 Rove guide JAMES MACKIE & SONS Ltd 19 April 1971 [23 March 1970] 13950/70 Heading DID A guide for rove particularly suited for use in the wet spinning of e.g. flax comprises a roller 8 with rods 20 which protrude adjacent the edges of the roller in radial planes with a gap between the rods for the passage of the rove. In place of rods ridges on end flanges may be employed. The rollers are free running and may have a rim 22 stationarily mounted. The rollers are mounted on dependent arms 14 and are fed by bobbins 1 dependent from rails 10. The rove passes from the guide to a water bath (2), Fig. 2 (not shown). The rollers are suitably constructed as one piece plastics mouldings. (For Figure see next page)
