Abstract

Two rollers driven to rotate in opposite directions are carried on a common support which can be rotated about an axis passing between the rollers through pref. 120 degrees-200 degrees pref. by a belt or rack drive. Yarn passes from a tensioner along a straight path between the rollers to a yarn guide. To advance the yarn the support is rotated so that the yarn passes in a sinous path around the rollers and is advanced by contact with the rollers. Pref. the common drive motor is mounted on the rotational axis of the support and the rollers are driven via gearing.
