Abstract

The equipment for transporting and feeding flat work pieces is between two machines arrange behind each other in a production line including a first conveyor of adjustable length transferring single work pieces on a second conveyor arranged below. The frame of the first conveyor which is movable in its longitudinal direction has at each of its ends mounted a freely rotating drum for guiding conveyor belt. The belt is driven by a rigidly mounted drum located above the conveyor frame and guided by two rollers rigidly mounted below the driving drum to form a loop. The conveyor frame is longitudinally displaced by a drive and the belt run is automatically adjusted through the loop formed by the driving drum and guide rollers.
