Abstract
Filler rods comprise =0.03% C, 0.6-0.9% Mn, 1.4-1.7% Si,8.5-9.0% Ni, 11.4-11.8% Cr, 0.2-0.3% Ti, 0.05-0.1% Mo, 0.02-0.08% Zr, 0.001-0.05% Ca, 0.001-0.003% B, balance Fe. The alloy can be used on articles which have not previously been heat treated without loss of strength. The Zr and Ti provide fine grain structure while the S ferrite formation prevents formation of undesirable rod shaped crystallites.
