Abstract
Mine released from a mother-projectile is capable of burying itself in the soil by means of a pointed cap. The mother-projectile consists of an envelope, a discharging fuse and a base. The mines to be laid are stacked inside the envelope in columns, one upon the other. Detonating fuses rupture the envelope and liberate the mines. The mine itself has a body filled with explosive and a hollow charge insert. The latter is surmounted by a ring or skirt which defines the attack distance of the hollow charge. An elastic diaphragm covers the cavity of the hollow charge and prevents the penetration of foreign bodies when the mine is entering the soil. Spring steel fins are folded along the body and are released by the tension on the rigging lines of parachute which delays the descent of the mine. When the mine reaches the ground it still has sufficient speed for it to be correctly planted, even in hard soil.
