Abstract

Bearing material contains substrate layer, pref. steel, coated with phosphate, pref. Mn-Fe-, Zn-Fe- or Fe phosphate, pref. applied by electrolysis process; and bonded to an Al, pref. a sintered Al-Sn alloy with 5-30% Sn. Pref. phosphate coating has surface roughness above 0.75 mu, and the Al alloy is pref. applied in powdered form, sintered, and the sintered material rolled.
