Abstract

Oscillator has oscillation chamber, with two opposed housings with curved walls, and an inlet nozzle to direct fluid jet into chamber. A single outlet orifice is staggered with respect to inlet nozzle axis. The chamber walls cause pressure difference to be established across jet, so that it switches rapidly from cyclonic flow on periphery of one housing to the other. Used as detector in gas chromatography.
