Abstract

1530128 Jet pumps GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 16 Oct 1975 [21 Oct 1974] 42528/75 Heading F1E In a jet pump in which the inducing fluid may alternate between liquid and gas, the inducing fluid nozzle is so constructed as to give efficient operation with either. The nozzle has a conveying section 26, a throat section 27 and an expansion section 28, the diameter of which is greater than the diameter of the section 27 and the length l is such that liquid emerging from the nozzle does not touch the section 28 whereas gas emerging from the section 28 can expand in the section 28.
