Abstract

Process for continuous grinding, mashing and clarifying comprises conditioning malt with water and crushing in wet a state, mashing by a decoction- or infusion process, wherein the thick substances after separation of thin mash are submitted to a decomposition process under high pressure, and the saccharified wort is drawn off via a vacuum belt filter. The spent residue is washed several times and wort in final concentration is submitted to a two-step short-time pressure boiling. In a modification of the main patent, malt is conditioned in a conditioning worm to an optimal water content for wet grinding.
