Abstract

Drier for granular materials, in particular cereal and oil-producing materials, consisting of by a vertical enclosure in which the grains fall under gravity and are passed through by horizontal streams of hot air produced by a single generator and having two temperature levels: an upper level relating to the upper level of the enclosure and a lower level relating to the lower level of the enclosure with recycling of at least part of the air from the lower level into the air of the upper level, after its reheating, characterised in that the heat source 2 of the single direct heating hot air generator is placed under reduced pressure so as to ensure, with the aid of this generator alone and in the desired direction, both recycling of the air extracted from the lower stage of the drier and admission of surrounding air, in particular to bring it to the desired temperature at which the drying air is to be fed to the upper stage of the drier.
