Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out the drying treatment of a raw material coal efficiently and recover and utilize the sensible heat of a coke oven gas for the drying treatment, by classifying the raw material coal for the coke oven into a fine granular coal and a coarse granular coal by a classifying machine, drying only the fine granular coal, and mixing the dried fine granular coal with the coarse granular coal.
CONSTITUTION: A heating medium 8 is heated by a gas sensible heat recovering apparatus 7 for a coke oven 5 provided in a riser pipe part 6 of the coke oven 5, and the heated heating medium 8 is then circulated through a heat exchanger 10 of an indirect heating dryer 9 as a drying heat source. A raw material coal 1 is fed to a classifying machine 11, and classified into a fine granular coal (1a) and a coarse granular coal (1b). The fine granular coal (1a) is dried by the indirect heatibg dryer 9, and the coarse granular coal (1b) is fed to a pulverizer 12 if necessary and pulverized. The coarse granular coal (1b) is then mixed with the dried fine granular coal (1a) and fed to the coke oven 5 and then carbonized therein.
