COMPRENDE: A) MEZCLAR POLVOS DISPERSABLES DE HIDRATO DE ALUMINA, TRATADO HIDROTERMICAMENTE, AGUA, UNA SEMILLA DE ALFA-ALUMINA DE TAMAÑO INFERIOR A UNA MICRA EN UNA PROPORCION NO MAYOR DEL 5% EN PESO DE LOS SOLIDOS DE LA MATERIA PRIMA, Y CON UN ACIDO, NITRICO O FORMICO; B) SOMETER A UNA PRESION DE 14 A 21 KG/CM, A LA MEZCLA DE A), POR EL PROCEDIMIENTO DE EXTRUSION; Y C) COCER EL CUERPO RESULTANTE, CUYA DUREZA ES MAYOR DE 16 GPA, SU DENSIDAD ES EL 97% DE LA TEORICA Y, SU POROSIDAD MENOR DEL 10%. SE UTILIZA EN LA FABRICACION DE LOS ARTICULOS CERAMICOS DE OXIDO DE ALUMINIO DE SOL-GEL Y EN LA DE LOS GRANOS ABRASIVOS ALUMINOSOS PARA ESMERILADO.
