Abstract
1. Method for producing rolled wire having a good coldworkability in which for obtaining soft drawing qualities a wire rod of a steel of the composition : 0.003 to 0.20 % by weight C 0.001 to 0.40 % by weight Si 0.15 to 0.65 % by weight Mn 0.001 to 0.10 % by weight Al 0.001 to 0.035 % by weight P 0.001 to 0.035 % by weight S 0.001 to 1.5 % by weight Cr 0.001 to 2.0 % by weight Ni 0.001 to 2.5 % by weight Mo 0.001 to 0.5 % by weight V 0.001 to 0.5 % by weight Ti 0.000 1 to 0.03 % by weight B 0.001 to 0.5 % by weight Zr remainder iron and usual contaminations, is, starting from a final rolling temperature of 950 to 1 100 degrees C first subjected to cooling with water and air down to a temperature of above 900 to 1 050 degrees C and is then, in the form of spread-out or overlapping flat rings, slowly cooled at a speed of less than 4 degrees C/s down to temperature within the range of 200 to 350 degrees C.
