SE HACE PASAR LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA QUE CONTIENE EL OZONO A TRAVES DE UN DISPOSITIVO DE DESCOMPOSICION QUE COMPRENDE UNA SERIE DE SOPORTES AFREOLARES MONOLITICOS CONTENIENDO UNA PASTA DE ALUMINA QUE CONTIENE UN OXIDO DE METAL DEL GRUPO VIII. EL AREA SUPERFICIAL DE DICHA PASTA ES DE AL MENOS 20 M /G TENIENDO ADEMAS DE 1.100 A 7.700 G/CM DE VOLUMEN DE MONOLITO DE PALADIO DISPERSO. LA CORRIENTE GASEOSA PASA A UNA PRESION DE 0,5 A 0,4 ATMOSFERAS CON UNA TEMPERATURA DE ENTRADA DE 10 C A 260 C Y UNA VELOCIDAD ESPACIAL HORARIA DE 300.000 VOLUMENES POR HORA. PREFERENTEMENTE SE EMPLEAN OXIDOS DE NIQUEL O COBALTO.
