COMPRENDE LAS SIGUIENTES OPERACIONES: PRIMERA, SE ADICIONA A LA MUESTRA DE SANGRE EN EXAMEN UN REACTIVO CONSTITUIDO POR UNA SOLUCION DE UNA SAL FERRICA, ABSORBIDA SOBRE LA SUSPENSION DE UN SOPORTE SOLIDO; SEGUNDA, SE SOMETE A UN PROCESO DE CENTRIFUGADO LA MEZCLA DE SANGRE CON EL REACTIVO AÑADIDO; Y POR ULTIMO, SE MIDE EL HIERRO BLOQUEADO POR LA TRANSFERRINA EN LA PARTE SOBRENADANTE. EL SOPORTE SOLIDO SE SELECCIONA ENTRE EL CARBONATO BASICO DE MAGNESIO Y EL CARBONADO DE CALCIO. A LA SUSPENSION DE SOPORTE SOLIDO SE LE ADICIONA UN MEDIO TAMPON CAPAZ DE MANTENER EL PH ENTRE 8 Y 9.
