CONSISTE EN LA REACCION DE REDUCCION DE LOS HIDROPEROXIDOS CON UN HIDRURO METALICO EN DISOLUCION ACUOSA ALCALINA, PARA FORMAR UNA CAPA ORGANICA, QUE SE SEPARA BAJO UN MANTO DE GAS INERTE Y SE LAVA CON AGUA DESGASIFICADA, TRANSFORMANDO LOS HIDROPEROXIDOS EN LOS CORRESPONDIENTES ALCOHOLES. TIENE APLICACION EN LA FABRICACION DE ETERES-ALDEHIDO POR FORMILACION CATALIZADO POR RODIO DE LOS CORRESPONDIENTES ETERES.
