SE EMPLEAN NUTRITIVAS, TALES COMO COMPUESTOS HIDROSOLUBLES DEL NITROGENO Y COMPUESTOS HIDROSOLUBLES DEL FOSFORO, EN SOLUCION ACUOSA, QUE CONSTITUYE LA FASE INTERNA DE LA MICROEMULSION QUE SE FORMA, Y CONTIENE UREA Y UN FOSFATO DE ALQUILO O DE ALQUENILO, MIENTRAS QUE LA FASE EXTERNA SE CONSTITUYE POR UNO O VARIOS ESTERES, ACIDOS Y/O ALCOHOLES GRASOS. LA SOLUCION ES MICROEMULSIONADA ENTONCE EN UN LIQUIDO NO MISCIBLE CON EL AGUA, PERO MISCIBLE CON EL MEDIO HIDROFOBO, TAL COMO UN LIQUIDO LIPOMISCIBLE QUE CONTIENE COMPUESTOS DEL CARBONO ASIMILABLES POR LOS MICROORGANISMOS INTERESADOS.
