Abstract

Procedimiento para conformar y tratar varilla de acero, que comprende las etapas de: a) laminar en caliente en forma continua acero en forma continua acero en forma de varilla a velocidad elevada y a una temperatura substancialmente por encima de A8 y producir en el mismo una estructura de grano austenítica inmediatamente después del laminado en el que los granos de austenita dispersados en forma uniforme y extremadamente pequeños, formados por recristalización den toda la sección, se combinan rápidamente para formar granos más grandes en condiciones de calor en exceso por encima de A3; b) reducir la velocidad de avance de dicha varilla hasta una detención susbstancial, arrollándola para ello en bucles; c) mover dichos bucles alejándose del punto de arrollamiento para proporcionar separaciones entre partes importantes de cada bucle sucesivo; d) enfriar dichos bucles, sumergiéndose substancialmente para ello en forma secuencial en un medio de enfriamiento líquido directamente después de arrollarlos, al mismo tiempo que se mueven; e) terminar sucesivamente la inmersión de los bucles en dicho medio antes de que la temperatura de cualquier parte de cualquier bucle descienda por debajo del punto máximo de la curva exterior del diagrama de transformación del acero particular que es esta tratando; f) inyectar sucesivamente aire sobre dichos bucles para enfriarlos hasta que se inicia la transformación de la austenita en una multiplicidad de puntos en torno a dichos bucles sucesivamente, y a continuación; g) enfriar adicionalmente en forma sucesiva las porciones restantes de dichos bucles hasta que termina la transformación de la austenita.
