Abstract

A gas cooker top to be housed in worktop 3 of a small thickness comprises at least one burner 4 whose body comprises a venturi communicating with a homogenization chamber whose shape is substantially that of a sphere flattened in the horizontal direction and from whose upper wall a pipe extends enabling connection of the burner head 24 with the burner body, each burner 4 being controlled by a tap 5 whose inlet and outlet orifices 20 and 37 are located perpendicularly to its control spindle, which is disposed vertically.
