Abstract

1536520 Gas burners W A CHARLESWORTH [trading as MALTBY ENG] 18 Nov 1977 48052/77 Heading F4T A gas burner comprises a head 1 connected to a mounting plate 2 by a tube 3 through which the gaseous fuel passes from a nozzle 4 controlled by a cock 5, a "flame-out" shut-off valve 6 intermediate the cock and nozzle and a transducer 7 for controlling valve 6, with the electrical leads to the valve passing through tube 3. Head 1 is formed by parallel square plates 13 spaced apart by washers 14, with central holes 12 aligned with a central hole 11 in a plate 10, the transducer 7 passing through the latter. The burner is located in a tar boiler by channels 19.
