Abstract
Un procedimiento para la formación de un revestimiento de fosfato sobre un metal de base férrea, que comprende las operaciones de limpiar la superficie de dicho metal por tratamiento químico o mecánico para eliminar la suciedad y herrumbre de la superficie, y sumergir después dicho metal en una solución acuosa ácida de un fosfato primario que contiene como componente adicional un trimetafosfato cíclico en solución en una concentración de al menos 0,001 moles por litro, efectuándose dicha inmersión en dicha solución a una temperatura de por lo menos 65ºC y durante un tiempo suficiente para que una parte tratada resista al menos 12 horas de niebla salina antes de su fallo empleando el procedimiento de ASTMB-117
