Abstract

Perfeccionamientos en los segmentos selladores para motores de pistón, caracterizados porque el segmento sellador está formado como un aro anular partido adaptado para estar dispuesto en una ranura de segmento de pistón, porque el segmento tiene una composición sustancialmente uniforme y tiene una superficie de segmento dirigida radialmente hacia adentro del diámetro sustancialmente constante y adaptada para entrar en cooperación con un resorte expansor dispuesto en dicha ranura para ensanchar dicho segmento en cooperación de sellado con una pared de cilindro, y porque comprende unas primeras partes de segmento en respectivas puntas de segmento y una segunda parte de segmento de la misma composición material que dicha primera parte que se extiende entre dichas primeras partes de segmento integralmente con las mismas y porque unos tramos de dicha superficie de segmento en dichas primeras partes han sido tratados por un proceso de endurecimiento tal como el endurecimiento por energía electromagnética radiante, endurecimiento por rayos láser o endurecimiento por calentamiento por inducción o similar para evitar el desgaste.
