Abstract
Aparato para soldar un obturador de extremidad en una barra de combustible nuclear que incluye una envoltura dotada de una cámara de soldadura con un electrodo de soldadura fijo situado en ella, teniendo dicha envoltura un orificio para recibir una barra de combustible e incluyendo unos medios para sujetar y hacer girar una barra de combustible y unos medios de estanqueidad para asegurar la estanqueidad de la barra de combustible en la cámara de soldadura, un elemento de tope dispuesto en dicha cámara de soldadura de modo que entre firmemente en contacto con él , el obturado de extremidad de dicha barra de combustible cuando el obturador de extremidad está apoyado adecuadamente sobre el elemento de tope y la zona de unión entre tubo de combustible y obturador de extremidad está exactamente en su posición adecuada respecto a dicho electrodo de soldadura fijo, y unos medios para hacer circular un gas inerte a través de dicha cámara de soldadura durante la operación de soldadura, caracterizadopor unos medios asociados con el elemento de tope (26) con el fin de impedir la energización de dicho electrodo de soldadura (28) cuando la barra de combustible (22) no está adecuadamente apoyada sobre dicho elemento de tope (26), caracterizado además, porque un orificio axial se extiende a través de dicho obturador de extremidad de barra de combustible y conduce hasta el interior de dicha barra de combustible, habiéndose previsto que dicho elemento de tope (26) posea un segundo orificio axial (78) alineado con el orifico axial (76) formado en dicho obturador de extremidad (24) de modo que cuando dicho obturador de extremidad (24) está situado en el elemento tope (26), los orificios axiales (es decir 76, 78) están alineados, y se han previsto unos medios que incluyen una tubería de vacío (82) conectada con una fuente de vacío (86) para hacer el vacío en dicha barra de combustible (22) , incluyendo dicho dispositivo un interruptor de vacío (90) que comunica con dicha tubería de vacío (82) yque responde a las presiones presentes en dicha tubería de vacío (82) y en la barra de combustible para accionar dicho interruptor (90) cuando la presión alcanza un valor bajo predeterminado.
