Abstract

Un recipiente marino aislado para contener gas licuado, cuyo recipiente comprende un depósito metálico que tiene la configuración general de una superficie de revolución que está diseñada para contener un gas licuado manteniendo una baja temperatura dentro de la misma, medios para soportar dicho depósito a bordo de un portador marino, y una barrera de aislamiento térmico que rodea a la superficie exterior de dicho depósito para mantener dicha baja temperatura reduciendo al mínimo el flujo de calor ambiente hacia adentro del mismo, cuya barrera incluye una primera capa de paneles formados de un material polímero espumado, teniendo cada uno de dichos paneles de dicha primera capa al menos cuatro agujeros dispuestos según un patrón de agujeros predeterminado, montantes fijados a dichas superficie exterior de dicho depósito que tienen un tamaño sustancialmente menor que el tamaño de dichos agujeros.
