Abstract

La solicitante ha encontrado que los objetivos anteriores pueden obtenerse, combinando una lactona o espiropirano, de colorante leuco, con un material fenólico que ha sido inactivado mediante la formación de un complejo. Más específicamente, el material fenólico se incorpora como el complejo molecular de una amina o amida, unido por hidrógeno, en partículas, sólido. Los hidroxilos fenólicos no son reactivos en la forma unida por hidrógeno, pero resultan activos y entran en una reacción formadora de color con el colorante leuco o precursor del colorante, cuando se calientan a una temperatura suficiente para disociar el complejo molecular unido por hidrógeno, en sus componentes originales. El complejo puede ser disociado por el calor o disolviéndolo en un material polar sólido, cuando éste se funde. La temperatura de disociación del complejo puede estar comprendida entre 50ºC y 220ºC., pero permanece en una forma estable y no reactiva, por debajo de los 50ºC. Ciertos aditivos pueden utilizarse con la composición de registro de la invención, para disminuir la temperatura de la formación de color y para aumentar la intensidad del color.
