Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the conservation stability of a recorded pictue image by using one kinds or two kind of the metallic salts of a fatty carboxylic acid as a developer. CONSTITUTION:Colorless or light-colored color forming dyes, a water-soluble high molecular compound, a white pigment, wax, etc. are dispersed and mixed together with a binding agent, and applied on a plastic film as a recording layer. The metallic salt of a fatty or aromatic carboxylic acid, auch as stearic acid, palmitic acid, benzoic acid, etc. of 0.1-20pts.wt. to the color forming dyes is compounded in said recording layer here. Aluminum, calcium, magnesium, etc. are selected as metal constituting the metallic salt of the carboxylic acid. The thermo-sensitive recorder obtained can prevent the disappearance of the color-formed picture image due to a plasticizer, etc. of plastic, and conservation stability for a long term can be improved remarkably.
