Abstract
Perfeccionamientos en hornos de fundición, y especialmente horno de fundición de arco voltaico, en el que la pared o murete contiene por lo menos una caja de refrigeración por agua, hecha de chapa de acero soldada, que está dispuesta por encima del nivel de la fusión y cuya superficie vuelta hacia el interior del horno está provista de salientes que favorecen la adherencia de una capa protectora, refractaria, formada sobre dicha superficie, caracterizados en que la pared (35), vuelta hacia el interior del horno, de la caja de refrigeración pòr agua (5,10, 15, 17, 21, 29, 30) presenta un espesor de 15mm por lo menos; en que los salientes (36, 38 a 41) están formados por hierro perfilado; y en que como capa protectora refractaria sirve una masa de refractario (37) aplicada previamente.
