Abstract

Procedimiento para la determinación cuantitativa de antitrombina III en plasma o suero, caracterizado porque se mezclan 2 partes en volumen del plasma o suero diluido con 1 parte en volumen de una solución de un polímero orgánico sulfatado con efecto de heparina con aproximadamente 0,4 a 20 unidades internacionales y 1 parte en volumen de una solución de trombina con 1 a 40 unidades NIH, se incuba la mezcla a una temperatura de 4 a 45ºC durante 2 a 20 minutos, y a continuación se añade una parte de la mezcla de incubación a una solución de fibrinógeno y se determina el tiempo de coagulación de la mezcla.
