Abstract
Procedimiento para la preparación de metanol a partir de hidrocarburos gaseosos, cuya proporción carbono/hidrógeno es inferior a la necesaria estequiométricamente para la obtención de metanol, por craqueo catalítico de estos hidrocarburos con adición de vapor de agua, a temperaturas de 830 a 930ºC y presiones de 5 a 30 bares, para formar un gas de síntesis que contiene esencialmente hidrógeno y óxidos de carbono, y subsiguiente síntesis catalítica de hidrógeno con óxidos de carbono para formar metanol, a temperaturas de 230 a 280 ºC y presiones de 30 a 150 bares, caracterizado porque, para la disminución del consumo de calor / energía, referido al metanol obtenido, una parte del calor necesario para el craqueo catalítico de los hidrocarburos es cedido por el gas de síntesis caliente a la mezcla de hidrocarburos y vapor de agua que circula a través del catalizador de craqueo.
