Abstract

Una caja de engranajes que se caracteriza por una cubierta, la cual se forma con un par de piezas fundidas cooperantes, idénticas o semejantes, maquinadas, manipuladas y sostenidas en el mismo aparato de maquinado de etapas múltiples; cada una de las piezas fundidas tiene una pared terminal y un faldón continuo que sobresale de la pared terminal; el par de piezas fundidas se dispone en relación opuesta y se sujeta una pieza a la otra; las piezas fundidas cooperan para delimitar un compartimiento dentro de la cubierta; un eje primario que se monta para girar en la pared terminal de cada pieza fundida; un eje secundario, que se sostiene para girar en la pared terminal de una de las piezas fundidas; el eje secundario sobresale de la cubierta; y un dispositivo de transmisión de la potencia que conecta el eje primario con el eje secundario para transmitir la potencia de aquél a éste.
