Abstract

The wire inserting and cutting device for feeding a wire (5) into insulating sheathing consists of a work table with frame and a motor to drive the rollers (4, 6) that feed the cable. A winding device (10) for the cable and a manually-operated or automatic device are provided to ensure that the cut of the wire (5) being sheathed is at a constant distance from the outer end of the sheathing. The winding device consists of a drum rotating about a vertical axis beneath the work table, and with its cable passing through a guide tube (8) through the table wall in the region of the drive rollers.
