Abstract

A table for cutting tubes, e.g. electric cable sheaths, into measured lengths, has drive wheels (5, 6) moving a tube (G) into a guide tube (9) and to a cutter. The cutter (12) has a hand lever guillotine pivotal on a horizontal axle under the table and parallel to the guide tube axis. A knurled wheel (15) on a vertical axle engages the moving tube through an aperture (9a) in the tube, and is connected to a preset sheath length counter (21) controlling drive to the wheels (5, 6). The number of cuts effected by the guillotine is shown by a counter. The guillotine is movable between blocks (10, 11) with guide openings for the tube.
