Abstract

Procedure for obtaining basic ethers, of general formula **(See formula)** where R is an alkyl group with a maximum of 4 carbon atoms, R1 is hydrogen, a lower alkyl radical, an allyl radical or a benzyl radical, R2 is an alkenyl, aralkenyl, haloalkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl or methyl alkyl group and R3 means hydrogen or a methyl group or its salts, characterized in that compounds of the general formula **(See formula)** in which R and R, have the definition indicated for formula I and X means the residues (see formula) or -N = CH-R5, where R4 represents a lower alkyl moiety, an allyl moiety, a benzyl moiety or an acyl moiety dissociable hydrolytically and R5 is an aryl moiety, if substituted, are reacted with halides of general formula Hal - CH2 - R2 III wherein Hal signifies a halogen atom and R2 has the meaning defined above, after which CH-R5 groups or R4 residues with acyl meaning existing in the reaction product are dissociated by alkaline or acid treatment and the residues R1 with the meaning of hydrogen, if appropriate, are exchanged for an alkyl or benzyl residue or, in the case that the residue means -CH2-R2 is exchanged for another allyl residue, after which the obtained bases are transformed in salts or the bases are released from the salts.
